When you get away from the big cities in the Philippines you can see the relaxed atmosphere and scenic views of the Province's in the Philippines. This is an image of a concrete provincial road in the Bicol region of the Philippines. Unfortunately not all roads in the Province are paved but most of the more traveled roads are. Because concrete is less expensive than asphalt in the Philippines and last longer, many of the roads are paved in concrete. When traveling on just 2 lane roads in the Philippines it is advised to use caution when passing because of the many turns and slower vehicles that may not be seen. Also there are man pedestrians and animals that use these rural roads too.
